hi guys. this is my first truck rebuild. been a motorcycle tech for 40 years but no trucks. I have a 1964 f-100 with a 292 engine. 3 speed tranny. I cant even find a listing for a 292 let alone rebuild info. I would like to replace with a 300 six and put a modern 5 speed behind it. anybody have info on adapt kits for tranny? when I ask at dealership they just look at me like something is growing out of my forehead. maybe make a manifold for three twobarrels. lots of power and a bulletproof engine.
