Ford Freestyle = ?

Hey everyone.
I just saw a new Taurus X yesterday.
Is this a rebadged Freestyle? Is sure looks similar in shape, but I has the 3 bar grille deal.
It is just about the same size as the Explorer too. We just bought an 07 Explorer about three weeks ago and it is great. I am glad it does not have the 3 bar grille deal on it!

I went to look at one too and the salesman said the Taurus and Taurus X were rebadged Ford 500 and Freestyle asked me if I wanted to drive it and I said no I drove a Freestyle and didn't like it

HomerWinzlow is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Taurus X is a little longer and has more comfortable seating, larger engine and 6 speed trans. My Freestyle is pretty uncomfortable on a 7 hour drive. I like the car overall though. I purchased a program unit to save a lot on the early depreciation.

tcesni is new and has a neutral reputation at this point.
Is the Taurus X a rebadged Freestyle? Well, sort of. When changing the Freestyle to a Taurus X the new model received a new motor (265 hp 3.5 L V6 compared to 200 hp 3.0 L V6) plus a 6-speed auto. Ford also made changes to the front subframe/engine mounting, steering and suspension. In general, the Taurus X has received good reviews from the car mags. The Ford Flex shares a lot of Taurus X DNA.
