Retrax Tonneau Cover?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these covers and if they are worth the money? I would like to get a hard tonneau cover that is easy to move to gain access to my 5th wheel hitch and usable bed space. Thinking about adding one of these to my new 08 F350 CC LB once I get the bed line x'd. Any input, and locations for good pricing would be appreciated thanks.

I also read the great tread here on the Peragon cover and wasn't so impressed with it, this one looks and sounds much more user freindly???

The best roll up cover is made by Truck Covers USA. All aluminum and super high quality. You can put 1000 pounds on top of it without trouble, it wont freeze up in the winter and comes with the longest warrnty of any cover. check it out www.truckcoversusa.com

That's incorrect, Pace Edwards covers have a three year warranty. Also, 1,000 lbs is a bit much, their websites states "500+ lbs.

Retrax has its pros and cons just like all other covers. It's made of Lexan, which is a lightweight plastic commonly used in the aircraft business. The Lexan does not have a texture, so if you happen to scratch it, it's going to show. Retrax is not spring loaded like most other covers, just move it at will. The cover does not lock your tailgate like some other covers. It is a quality product and they have excellent customer service. If you get a Retrax, get the optional lock cover.

Well Truckdaddy, I know you sell Linex and Pace Edwards. I also sell Pace Edwards and Truckcovers USA &Roll n lonck and others. Yes the literature says +500 lbs capacity and the pace edwards says 50 lbs, Kinda something to think about if you live in the snow belt like I do and may get 100's of pounds of snow on the cover, Not a problem in Texas. Although the literture says the truckcover usa is +500 lb capacity, the dealer information clearly says the cover is rated for 1000 lbs but they would perfer not encouraging people to put that kinda of load on the cover in case it were to fall off and hit a school bus full of children.

I'm not knocking TruckCover USA, I'm just correcting a couple of things you mentioned. Also, the Jack Rabbit can take about 100 pounds and the rest can take about 200 lbs.

I have a retrax cover and I had the same issues that you have as well and I think it's worth the money. Adds alot more cargo space if your wanting to put luggage back there on a road trip. Plus, even though it says it's not waterproof, I have yet to have leaks in the cover(the weatherstrip it to death it looks like) so that's another good thing about it(I might have just gotten lucky though).
