faulkz is starting off with a positive reputation.
f150 front end dana 44

? will the front end of a 85 f150 bolt straight in. im getting the whole drive trane off of the f150 and i figured it would be easyer to change the dana 30 i have now and put the dana 44 in its place it being all in line and so i wouldnt have to change my t/case any help

The 44 from the 85 will be TTB dana 44 not a mono beam.

If that is one of those split axle dana 44s its a junker, people with 89 broncos are always doing solid axle swaps.

That Dana 30 is a lot tougher than people give it credit for. Tust me, I know.

Why do you want to upgrade? Disc brakes? Strenght?

If you want discs, do a "chevy" disc swap.

If you want brute strength, find a 73-79 F150 dana 44 high pinion and have it narrow down, becaue that will give you the high pinion, discs, and dana 44 in one deal.
