Hood to cowl seal- which way does it go?

Have a new hood to cowl seal and cant figure out which way it should go- does the seal go against the cowl like an upside down L.

Hope that makes sence.

Thanks

Glad to see someone ask; I didn't and place one backwards on my 65 model; even with a 66 model OEM in the driveway. Thank God for guys like Dennis with a great knack with not only computer skills but truck knowledge as well.

I replaced 2 of them,the last one in 1990.

Never again.

It's just throwing money away.
