Which Lubeguard color for 4R70W?
This stuff is kind of confusing.
I have a 2000 F150 5.4 4x4 with the 4R70W factory filled with Mercon V. I'm trying to make the torque converter stop shuddering. I just did a total flush with fresh Motorcraft Mercon V. It's still shuddering some.
Now I bought the green bottle that says for Mercon V. Is this the right stuff as it also says it converts Mercon to Mercon V?
What the hell does Mercon mean anyway?

I looked at that, but I don't like using anything that says that it's universal for all ATF. I especially don't like the thought of using that in a 4R70W that seems to be kind of fluid sensative anyway.
The only reason I bought the green bottle is that it specificly says that it's for Mercon V applications and states that it instantly eliminates TC shudder.
