I recently bought an 06 F250 6.8L. I must say that trading my 04 6.0L was the best thing I have done in a long time. My question is this. I want to change the sound of the truck and make it sound a little more like a V10 instead of a V6. What would be the best way to do that without spending too much money for stuff I don't really need or want. Thanks in advance
Just like a sad dog at the shelter with those eyes... I had to have her: 1977 F250, 460 V8, C6 needs love: PS pump, hoses, gearbox, fan clutch, dimmer switch, blower relay, battery cables, headers, muffler, rattle kit, door seals, ignition module, Kenwood, radiator, thermostat, transmission fluid & cooler, tach, gauges and on and on....
best thing to do is change that god forsaken y-pipe along with a muffler.
Aeroturbine (or whatever their name is now) seems to be a pretty good choice as far as sound and overall performance. A V10 Excursion owner has one on his truck and loves it. In fact, his sound clip is on their website.
i just listened to that sound clip. its amazing. i completely support that aero turbine muffler. i really wanna post a sound clip of my exhaust somewhere because i dont think anybody has my setup, or my sound, but you never know.
