Heater Core swap ?

Hi All, I have an 88 F-250 7.3 with (non-working) AC (that doesn't matter though). The interior heat output and fan speed are not very good either (lots of engine heat).
I just bought an '84 6.9 without AC, and a recent heater core. Would it be
do-able to swap the core and other items (fan, switches ?) from the 84 to the 88 ?

If so, how tough a job, and where can I get some instructions ?

Thanks

I can't tell you if the heater cores are interchangable, but you should at least pop the cover off the heater core chamber and check that the blend door is operating properly and not obstructed. You could also try back flushing the heater core with a garden hose, that'll displace any gunk that has builtup over the years.
