My starter won't engage the fly wheel for some reason. Started making noise last week and then all of a sudden it would just spin and not engage the fly wheel. So I replaced the starter. It was good for a day and then bam! same problem. I don't know what it could be. Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe a bad wire connection or batt connection and it's just drawing too much juice? I'll check connections tomorrow under load and put a meter to it. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. 1992 250, 460 with the ZF5.

Yes sir, that turned out to be the problem. I started pulling my tranny today, quite the fun job for a $35 ring gear especially in frost bite weather...
