97 F150 Turn Signals Not working
Right hand signal light failed. After many hours of searching, found the wiring leading to the connector on top of the tilt steering column, (next to hazard switch) was cracked and had broken off. The lead for the right hand indicator was ready to break as well. Not a fun fix.

Just replaced the turn signal switch on mine and also had to replace the harness (upper) that goes to the switch as one of the plug cells had broken out. I have now replaced the switch and although it wasn't a real pain to remove the steering column cover and replace the switch, it was a pain to have to add a new pigtail. Thankfully, Ford has those available for about $15. I think a lot of tilt-steering action causes that pigtail and connector to wear out or break. Thanks for the note. Hopefully others can learn here as well. PS - my headlights stopped working due to a short in the turn signal/hazard/wiper/flash to pass switch so I had to replace it - and for my '98 F150, that part wasn't cheap! No Fords in the scrap yard that I could rummage from.
