What's better, paper air filter or oil bath?

My truck has an oil bath air cleaner. Many want me to put a paper air cleaner. I've heard pros and cons of each. Which is better do you think?

For a diesel engine the paper is better as the air pulled by a diesel will pull the oil off of the oil coated filters and allow too much dirt in. Gas engines don't have as much air flow and the oil coated should work well. Now if you have an older style oil bath filter it is better for filtration but may give you a little higher restriction to air flow. Just remember that dirt destroys engines so the best filter keeps the most dirt out while allowing the most air flow with the least restriction.
