screwy is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Don’t bother with e-mails, doesn’t ever work. I ordered a Tuxedo from them, took a month for it to ship after a number of looooong phone calls with people who didn’t want to talk to me. They lost my business a long time ago.

Here's the post I started. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/57...ck-addons.html

A search will reveal a lot of other people with similar experiences.

I'll have to steer clear of them from now on.

i had a similar experience with another large parts company. I posted my story on every website/forum I belonged to. give that a shot and include any names you have dealt with @ this company. (my ordeal worked out in my favor)

Its kind of sad these large companys do this to there customers, i mean just look at this they already lost the majority of people who have read this thread, and now were all telling people we know not to purchase from them and so on (at least I am). Like the saying gos give me good service il tell ten people, screw me over and il tell everyone I know...

That is surely what it sounds like. Like I said I have ordered from the a bunch of times and never had a problem. I have even called them when I got the wrong colored mats and never had a problem with returning them and getting the right ones. Then I hear a lot of post that they are horrible. I'm confused.

I apologize for not having the time to monitor this thread as my main responsibility here with this company is the retail store and I have been extremely busy with the current Christmas season.

ThomasA- I owe you a very big apology, but I did get your information to the people responsible for taking care of your issue and I'm sorry that your ball got dropped like it did. I will personally take care of the matter with that employee when he returns to work. I should have been more precise with giving you an exact email address with which to contact me as that is the only thing I have been able to check due to the holiday season.

To anyone else that needs any special attention, I would love to be able to help you, but I will need you to send me an email at matt@truckaddons.com instead of sending me a PM thru this board. Just make sure and state that you are an FTE member and what phone number you used when you placed your order and the approximate date of the order.

Are you kidding me? It took 3 months to get my money back, and I never once got any help from this guys. Oh well, I've moved on. Doesn't really matter anymore.

This is a followup to my original post (#16 - 12/10/07).
Trailblazers/Truckaddons finally did send the bed mat that I paid for. Heres what happened:
I got an e-mail from someone who identified him/herself only as someone who worked in the internet dept. of Truckaddons. Said they had found my post on this forum, did some research in their tracking dept., and they really did owe me a bed mat!!! Had it sent. I got it, installed it - done.
But . . . That seems to me to be a really oddball way to handle customer service. I had written to Kentucky Better Business Bureau - they contacted Truckaddons, Truckaddons told them: "Have the customer contact us". Fat chance. Their customer service e-mail address is "ignoreyou@blackhole.com".
I don't know anything about the internal structure of this company, so the following is speculation on my part: I think that there is no one who has actually been assigned responsibility for customer service. The Person In Charge seems to think that just because he wrote a fancy mission statement, all his employees will just DO IT. They can't if they have no formal procedures to handle complaints. He has to have someone in charge, who receives all complaints, has the resources to investigate, and the athority to do something about it.
Now I am happy that I got what I paid for and thank the person who made that happen. I saved me a lot of hassle, because I was ready to send a ton of letters to every newspaper and public official in Kentucky and several agencies of the federal government. Might never have gotten any satisfaction, but never would have stopped yelling about it. I will never order from them again.

I placed a order for a rugged folding tonneau cover...Received it with in 5 days...When I was installing it I noticed that a part was missing. I sent them a email and they responded with in the same day. They overnighted me the replacement item no questions asked..I'm very happy with the service I received. Sorry you had a problem with them but I do not think that is a wide spread thing.....Looks like they are trying to and have resolved your problem. Keep in mind every company can have a bad apple in there employee pool.....

After reading through this entire thread, decided there are just too many really good business's to deal with, rather than taking my chances with "Tuckaddon's .com"

Despite "some" good intentions, the bottom line was error, after error for these poor folks, and I certainly wouldn't want to chance those errors happening to me also.

The problems should have been corrected right after the initial contacts.

It's called "Follow-up".
