Breaks squeak...just a little

When I apply the brakes my fronts squeak, just a little though. Squeaking goes away after the wheel turns a few times. Seems to do it at speeds lower than 30mph. When I changed the front shocks I looked at the pads, plenty of meat on them. The breakes seem to work fine, just an annoying squeak when first applied....any ideas?

Try putting some brake caliper grease on the backs of the pads. It dampens the high frequency vibrations that cause that sound. I am totally blanking on the name of the stuff. I have it in my toolbox and I am on vacation right now. Any auto parts place will have it.

Make sure you get the stuff that is waterproof and won't heat up and run off onto the rotors.

ok stevorino...did this last night, and it seems to have worked....at least for now! used a high temp silicone grease. Hope it lasts.

Thanks for the advice
