South Bend or LuK Clutch

I've narrowed it down to two different manufacturers for a new clutch if I have to end up getting one. Which is better between a South Bend or a LuK clutch. My truck is practically stock with 207,000 miles on it, but I wouldn't mind to up the power just a bit for towing, but want something easy to drive around town too. If I went with a South Bend, what are the main differences between the Con O and Con OFE besides HP and torque capacity and the clutch material? Also, is the Kevlar bushing worth installing in the South Bend setup?

There is also another option. Val Air www.valairinc dot com Both South Bend and LUK make excellent clutches and I can't say enought about them. But Val Air is my choice for price and customer service. Plus they have clutches that will hold huge amounts of power. I love mine. If you decide to go with the Val Air, call and talk to Dan Vallance specificly. He's the VP and I send a ton of business his way, and he'll hook you up with a great price. All you have to do is tell him Cody from Death Row Diesel sent ya. I promise you won't be sorry. Give em a call. Even if you don't have the chance to talk to Dan, just tell them I sent ya, and they will hook you up.

Website has been acting all kinds of crazy today. So what would you recommend from them if you was just getting mild mods not getting to crazy with the truck and how does it improve everything.

I can't remember the part # off the top of my head. But Dan will talk to you and get you set up with a clutch that taylors to the way you drive. He's got everything from smooth and easy to hard and fast. Just give him a call.

Personally SBC is the only way to go IMO. I have not used Val Air so they may be pretty good I just know what to expect from SBC. I have used Luk setups and wont go back.

Con O has organic material on both sides and the OFE has organic on the PP side and Feramic on the FW side.
