I would like to ask the person who took this picture why only one shot? Anyone who would be interested in taking this picture knows that everyone is going nuts to see the front end. Why this person who had enough time to get out prop the camera across the hood of their own vehicle only got this shot and no others?? Their camera must of only had one picture left on the roll or it was broken. I just can not figure that out besides why is the whole picture blurry except the interior portion where you can see the seat folded forward. The longer you look at this picture the more little things you can see to suggest the picture might not be real. Anybody who is anybody would have taken a straight on picture not a picture from the side. .02 worth (again)
Well, it appears to me that the new big idea in Detroit is to make every vehicle look much like all of the others that you build. Chrysler cars all have the same grill, some just a little bigger than others. Originality is gone. There must be no new ideas left to be had so they just copy off of someting else that they already make and tweak it a little. You used to be able to tell from afar what kind of vehicle was coming down the road. A 71 Mustang, 71 Torino, and 71 F100 looked nothing alike from 100 yards away, now everything (except the Mustang, thank god) has a chrome, bar design grill. What ever happened to originality?
Looking at the grill of this supossed new F150, it must have a huge Ford emblem in the grill because it is missing a center slat and still has the oval cut outs top and bottom. And with it only being partially blurred, it looks photo shopped to me too, but I'm no photo expert. It will be revealed soon enough and wee will see the finished product.

See: worldcarfans.com - American Cars for the story behind the taking of the pics. There are additional pics there too. The pics are real, not photochopped.

Same pics, although the Bullitt Mustang is really cool!!!!
The pics are the same, but the story behind how they were taken is interesting.
There were several Bullitt Mustangs used when the film was shot, and some scenes from the chase were shot from different angles, then inserted into the final chase sequence. In four scenes from different parts of the chase, look for the same green VW beetle descending a hill. Two shots show the front of the VW, two show the rear.
The Dodge Charger lost at least three wheelcovers during the chase, but seems to keep growing new ones. In the final scenes, all four are shown leaving the car.

I'm betting that the reason the picture is blurry/grainy is that it was taken from afar with a telephoto lens. Most spyshots aren't taken up close, and trying to hold a 1000mm lens steady when snapping a moving object just isn't going to be crisp and clear. My guess is the photographer didn't have many chances to take beauty shots. It's likely of the multiple shots that were taken, that this one was the best of the lot.
Yeah Bill I noticed that too. Hubcaps galore The official story that I read said that there were two of them and they are both MIA. Sold then resold and are in hiding. I also noticed when he spun out on the side of the road, the Mustang broke a ball joint and the wheel laid over.
That, along with the original Gone in 60 Seconds and Vanishing Point were great car chase movies.
I'm sure that some better pictures will come along soon of the 09 F150
is it just me or does the grill look a lot different than the camo'd up test mules. all of the past pics of them had a 3 or 4 bar (equal width) grill that seemed to "poke" out, unlike this one that is flush with the rest of the fascia.
These were not photos taken from a distance. The one of the truck is taken from another vehicle right there on the side of the road, plus there is the close-up internal shot. Someone either violated their NDA (and ought to lose their job) to sell some photos, probably taken with a cell phone or PDA (that's what the quality looks like), or a reporter got access he wasn't supposed to get.

The interior photo did not happen at the same time as the exterior photo. The interior photo was taken well before the current exterior photo.
In this case the only violation was a poor decision on the transporters part not to put the full camo back on the truck before taking it back to the transport vehicle.

Just for the record....this is an ugly truck.....my gosh what is Toyota thinking!!! If this thing had sliding doors on the side, it would look like a tall minivan!...
