I really like the styling of the 2004-2008 F150s. I'm glad to see that the 2009 will keep a lot of the current styling of the cab exterior. GM, Dodge, and Toyota designers just can't resist torturing the sheetmetal with excess "sculpting" which cheapens the look, IMO. Of course, opinions are cheap, and everone's is different . . .
I told you guys it was going to look like a mixture of the edge front end and the superduty front end, the drawing i posted was really close to it as well.
As was stated in another post, and from what I have been seeing here all along, it looks like an expedition with a bed on it. What is the purpose of extending the front door while shorting the rear. Are they trying to be like Dodge and take all the room out of the rear. The front door is already big enough to drive the truck through.
As Chandler Bing would say, Could there be any more knobs and switches on the dash?
Granted this is just my opinion from first glance I am sure it will change as I see more and more of it in the future. After all when I first saw the new Chevy I thought that was pretty...boy was I wrong.
Oh, and for what it's worth my first reaction was that the front end looked like a Toyota from that shot

I like it, I always thought the current truck looked really nice, I just wish they would have brought the 6 speed transmission and the hurricane engine in 2004 when the current truck came out, I know that in body strenght fords are the best, but in terms of power, they are getting behind due to the weight, and the weight is what gives it its strenght, counterproductive. So if they are just upgrading the powertrain and keeping everything else the same, that makes my wishes come true.

What in the world are you looking at? It's more like toy is trying to copy the big blue oval and are failing badly along with the others. The rear doors look the same to me its just because the front doors are bigger the whole cab is 6" bigger.
I am not really convinced of the authenticity of the exterior photo. Clearly the interior photo is real, but I wouldnt think Ford would put 20" chrome aftermarket rims on a test mule truck.
Also, most of the truck looks blurry as if the truck was in motion when the photo was taken, however, look closely and youll see the driver seat tilted forward and noone in the driver seat.
The grill is was clearly looks to be photoshopped. The hood leading edge and grill surround scream Chevy. I think ill hold judgement on the 09 until I see a better (or real) picture of it.

Bassaway I'll have to say you might be on to something here although I think you meant the pass seat is tilted. I can't really tell if there is someone in the drivers seat or not. What I found strange after your comments is that I noticed how clear the inside pic was as opposed to the exterior. If this is the same truck than obvisouly they had the truck in there posession. If you are really photographing an 09 f-150, why not take the time to get a clear shot of the exterior also? Smells kinda fishy when you set it out in the sun!!

The inside photo is old and been on here long ago when truck was shown in camo.
If you look at the top of the hood you will see that it has a few humps in it. Also look at the tape covering the front badging it was cut to follow the flare of the fender but the rear is not, why? The big thing is look real close at the grill it has been doctored to look the way it does. Nice pick up bassway. I will wait to see the real thing.
I do think this somewhat of what we will see at the NAIAS, It'll probably look pretty darn close to what we see now. Also it was moving when or being rushed back to the trailer to take back to Detroit when KGP Photography took this picture. Heres what Edmunds said. They even have a pic of the trailer and the SuperDuty hauling it away. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...cleId=123590#4
I doubt car and driver, edmunds, left lane news, world car fans would all release a photoshopped picture. Also dearborn derek said that it was the truck.
