it looks nothing like a toyota at all. the hood lines and the headlights and what you can see of the grill are different. the taillights a also sweet looking of what you can see of them. DearbornDerek said when you are up on it its more aggressive and up in your face. i cant wait.

What I find most objectionable about it is the trim moulding around the wheelwells. That and the contour of the wheelwells just give it too many distracting lines and dirties up the looks of it. The front from profile gives it the look of an SUV with a pickup body. And the dash and center console? Fisher Price.

I thought Ford would take the good looks of the '04-'08 and give it a little more of the "Ford Tonka" styling. Instead it looks like they pandered to the intended target buyer. Which is... your wife.

At least Ford has the sense to offer the crewcab with a 6-1/2" bed!

I'm interested in that info too. The Truck has already been seen. What's the big secret with the power plant and drive train?

those wheel well moldings might not be on the XLT's. that one in the pic is a platinum edition that is taking the place of the mark lt.

I think that is the Platinum...so the flares and such will all be an option...

one that I am sure will not be too popular, IMO...I see another XLT in my future IF i get a new one...

I am still looking hard at a 2002 F-250 7.3 PSD 4x4 in my future.

It looks like the current F-150 with a fusion grill, either way, it looks fine. Now put a real hemie spanking motor in it and it will look even better. Maybe they will run out of idea's and go retro and give us a 77 or a 66, that would be just too cool.

Thumbs up

I think it looks great. I do see a little past gen Tundra like car and driver stated, but the more I look at it, the more I see the Super Chief Concept. (which is a good thing) Like Edmunds said "The Super Chief concept comes alive." Heres some links about it.

Joke right?
I thought my 07 Crew company truck had ugly interior. What with the .95 shift boot on shifter?? If I wanted those flare like designs . I'd put flares on my self.

Looks Like I'll wait another 10 years. 5yrs for em to build a truck I like and 5 yrs to wait to get a used one. That gass hog SD 250-350 is looking great right now.

I just read one of the above articles and it says that the diesel MIGHT be out in 2011. Ford is going to blow it if they wait that long they will be last instead of first. I like the looks of it alright but it should have never been called a redesign, it should have just been called operation facelift with same ole 5.4

The front angle pic makes the grill look Silverado to me. I like the bulged hood that looks much like the Super Chief. I like the gauges too, not real keen on the control panel though. It has more buttons and an old 707 jet. I'm sure that the XLT will have less buttons and some HVAC knobs. I never liked the auto climate control anyway.
All it needs now is a 450hp 6.2L that gets 20mpg
