Lift kits?? I need a little help. I'm installing a lift kit on my 87 f250 and cant afford to spend the money for someone to install it for me. I have a list of things that will go wrong with the body lift, but I'm worried about the supension lift. The body lift isn't hard at all. If anyone can offer their expierence, I have a heated shop with a lift to do it in. If no one is willing, I guess I'm going to have to wing it the best I can.
I'm willing to offer some cash for someone's night worth of work with plenty of cold beer as some antifreeze also.
Heated garage with a lift???? Wow,,that will help to make it a painless job! lol
I would help but I know nothing. Sorry,, never did a lift myself. But I'm sure you'll get some of thees guys to offer to help you out.
Good luck with it.

Let's see....
This week I am available Monday night, Most of Tuesday, Friday night, Most of Saturday, Most of Sunday.
Shop is in Selbyville, De 19975. I can meet people in millsboro so we can all follow me down so its not too hard giving directions. I also can drive anywhere in which someone else has a shop if its closer to everyone else. I'll bring the antifreeze in the cooler.
Now I'm not sure if this will work, but....I have an old old old old old old lift. Air powered, comes out of the floor up about 5 feet. I also have an air compressor for air powered tools.
Let's figure out when a good time is...doesn't have to be this week, I'm just trying to get it done before it snows.
a suspention lift on a 87 F250 is a piece of cake. should take 2 people no more than 6 hours with beer breaks.
the 2 hardest things are the pitman arm, and if you have to change them, the soft brake lines.
the body lifts are the pain in the ***. they require radiator shroud modification, new hard brake lines, all new body bolts, shifter modifications, sheet metal modifications, electrical system modifications, and steering column modifications to name a few things. figure 16-25 hours solid work to do a body lift.

hey man i work here in dagsboro at the armory as a mechanic if you want some help im free anytime this week...oh and i have done a few lifts to include a 79 f100 converted from 2wd to 4wd and put 12" under it....my cell is 302-841-3031 i get off at 430...
I got the 4" rough country lift. Already have it and it is sitting in my shop as we speak. Seems pretty straight forward with installation, I just don't have the know how to do it myself. I also dont have the money to sink into a shop as I spent alot of it on the lift itself. (I'm only 18 years old) If you and I could get this done that would be awesome so everybody doesn't have to come from dover and what not haha.
Do you think me and you could handle it?
Also, do you know preferred automotive in dagsboro? That is my brother's mechanic for most of his cars. He has a carlot 5 minutes up the road called beach bound auto sales on 113 and 24. right across the street from gulab's
yeah i know both those places my buddie herb(tink) does some small repairs for beach bound...and yeah i think we will be able to handle it...its really not that hard to do...let me know when u wanna get started...you have my cell and you cant get me on here too...
wow I know herb....He does the dirt track races at georgetown. Whenever is good for you is good for me. we can start tomorrow or friday, whichever is better for you man.
okay do we need to use the lift or no? I think tomorrow would be a good day to start it and hopefully finish it...I'll hook you up with something for your time. Also, are you going to bring your powerstroke? I would love to see it.
My cell number is 443-271-3327 I'll call you tomorrow around 4:30 and if you don't pickup just give me a ring when you're ready.
yeah tomorrow will be great...and ill have my truck too...the lift will be needed to make the raise easier...with the lift and air we should manage to get it done tomorrow night... ill make sure we take some pics for george...hes a picture wh0re....
Okay I'll have to clear up the lift tomorrow. I gave a warning to the guy working in there today that you and I would be doing it sometime this week. He's doing all the body work for my brother. I'll have the camera too.
