Those looks good.I killed one about like the 7 pt Tuesday. He was my 4th this yr.I'm out of freezer space now. I still would like to kill a few more. I have a friend with freezer space. I plan to make sausage out of this last one except for the back strap. I plan to make bacon rapped fillet out of it. It is great that way cooked on the grill.

And for any mis-guided Bambi lovers out there - think about the front of your truck and windshield when one of these pops out of the woods in front of you when you are doing forty five or above!
Nice haul - I saw one on it's way to somewhere around here hanging out the back of a ranger with a shell on it just a day or two ago. The local population is fat!
I wonder if anyone got the doe I used to see around my neighborhood? It stood at least as tall as a donkey... I got close to it a few times, just out walking, and it's shoulders would have been close to level with mine, I know it for sure.
Ain't spotted it again since they began building so many houses out this way though.
Last year at this time, a herd of about fifteen ran across the road down at Ray Bluff and the Quito-Drummonds road, a German Shep' was chasing them.
It was like stopping for a train crossing.
They out there, that's for sure!
I would guess that the western Tennessee woods are one of the most prolific breeding areas you could want.

West Tn & middle Tn around Mcnairy & Hardiman counties are overpopulated of deer. You can kill 3 does a day in the counties I named if you get the permits.I've killed a lot of deer in those 2 counties.I'd still be hunting there if land lease prices had not gone so high. Its cheaper for me to take my vacation in 3 trips & hunt my family land in La

I had a tough time getting all the blood out of my truck after my first hunt this yr. It had the blood from3 deer in it & I let it sit & dry for about a week before I washed it. I had to use bleach & a scrub brush to clean the bed liner. I hosed it out as soon as I unloaded the last one. I learned my lesson.

The way I got all the trans fluid out of the back of mine was to stuff rags around the tailgate, pour in some laundry soap, and fill it up part way with the garden hose.
Then I drove it around for awhile.....

i was happy last week to find a picked clean 8 point skull in my backyard. i may put it on the front of my truck. i think there would be a market for cleaned skulls like that. i already had a guy i work with asking me about it.
