Quieter on BioD

Quieter on BioD
Just filled up on Friday for the first time with BioD. I put about 40% BioD in each tank. I have run it about 200 miles on this ratio so far.
What I have noticed so far is that it seems to be running alot quieter on startup and at warm idle. Its seems to start better too, which I havent heard or remember hearing to this point. I bought ten extra gallons to mix with regular Diesel since there is not BioD in my local area. I've heard mixing a 1/2 gallon with each tank of ULSD helps with lubrication.

I agree with F350-6, I have been running B10 from my local automated station. I take an occasional trip to the mountains where I have to fill up with regular ULSD and I DO notice a big difference. At first I thought it was my imagination, but my buddy that was riding with me agreed it didn't seem to run as good. I first noticed it when I was pulling a long hill with a trailer full of quads. Got me nervous at first as I thought she was taking a crap, and I was a long way from home!

That translates into about an extra $20 per tank to run bio. Not a big deal when fuel was down around $2.40, but when it's already costing $11 per day to keep it on the road it becomes a more serious chunk of change.
I wish the tree huggers would let bio off the flavor of the month list so the price would go down. If bio was cheaper than dino, like it should be, it would not be an issue driving the extra miles to get it.

It's made from animal fats here as well, at least some of it is. The problem is the cheapest I can find it is $3.27 and I can stop by wally world on the way home from work and get dino for $3.06. Makes it hard to justify the expense.
Oh...that $2.40 was just a fond memory from years past. Haven't seen that in a while. Funny thing is I can still remember how outraged I was when fuel when above $2.00.

here's the gig.. Bio WILL make you engine run quieter than petro because it restores the lubricating properties lost to LSD & then ULSD... But you only need B2 to accomplish this.
Ford doesn't want you running anything richer then B5 because bio scours the inside of the tank and lines, and deposits this stuff further down the fuel system, IE the injectors..
which the whole thing is garbage, because the Government is trying to get us to explore alternative forms of energy, but the vehicle manufacturers design systems that won't use it...
so who's in the pocket of Big Oil?????
