If you're blending, 10-15% RUG in your filtered oil with a cetane booster will be fine.

I am getting set to buy a 1994 F350 7.3 TD IDI and would love to blend my own fuel. Can I do this with this truck and not worry about it?
Thanks.

There are more than a few blends out there.... the distilled petroleum products just thin out the oil so it's the right consistency. Firemedic is right, the IDI's are better suited for this.
I hadn't heard that the cetane boost created polymerization.... is that only in conjuction with the VO?

I bought some and have the kit. I have never tried it but the oil for me is hard to come by. As I heard and as the guys are telling you mixing RUG and oil + cetain can work but if you want to try the DSE stuff I can sell you the kit reasonable. Shipping would be cheap I am sure, let me know.

I mix mine pretty close to their specialization, I bought the "secret additive" once, but decided it was worthless, in fact, I didn't use it. I blend my veggie 20% diesel, 5% gas, plus I have a heated fuel filter on the truck to help a little. I have been having great luck for over a year and a half, I also have been making a little bio, experimenting with both. I only use bio in my powerstrokes, I haven't been brave enough yet to try the WVO in a powerstroke, I at least can fix an old IDI if I break it, but I haven't had any problems yet.
