300 inline 6 carb to fuel injection...
Got a question for all you truck experts out there... I got a 1980 F100 300 inline 6. I was wondering if it were possible to replace the carb with fuel injection, and if it were legal or not? How much do you think that would run a person too? Thanks for you help.

It is a fair amount of work but very possible but personally unless the truck is in absoulutely mint condition I would just replace the truck with a 1987 or up.
If you were to do it yourself I suppose costs could reach the $500.oo mark and thats getting parts from the local auto wreckers.

I have most of the FI parts off a 92 EFI 4.9.Most want to go the other way to a carb.Personally,I've not seen too many advantages to EFI-milage,torque,maintenance etc.(Maybe HP even If!).E-mail me if interested. Another Mike
