Need special bolts.

I'm try to find 1 3/8 to 1 1/2- 5/16 flat head fender bolts. So far all the bolts I find are about 1" long. Anybody know where I can get bolts like these made or in stock?

I believe they are called elevator bolts.

On my '53, I just used standard carriage bolts that had a smooth head with no stamping (or whatever). Personally, I think it looks better because the heads are alot smaller. They fit and work perfect, too. Here's a picture of mine:

Bobby is absolutely right. If you need it Mcmaster Carr probably has it. If you can't get it from them then I don't know what to tell you. Every machine shop that I have worked for buys from them and I have never heard anything bad about the company.

I use McMaster-Carr about once a week at work. The best thing about them is theye have everything but deliver withing a couple of days. My inner fenders or tubbing is made up of of two fenders to make them wider. I believe it had to be done because the width of the tires. Also the flange that goes around the bottom goes on top or maybe I'm looking at it wrong and it should go underneath. Just didn't want to use a bolt that will catch things as they are slid into bed. If it can be bolted in from underneath I could fasten it a different way.

Here's one for the Canucks. I have never ordered from them but it looks like they got a big selection of all kinds.
