HFCM and water in fuel light

Thanks to all who post the info on this site. With your help I was able to solve an issue with my water in fuel light that kept coming on. I drained the unit multiple times and the light would come back on after a few miles of driving. After reading about this issue on this site, I removed the sensor from the unit and sure enough, it was full of some type of debris. I cleaned it out and put it back in and that has fixed the problem. Thanks.

if it gets corroded again you can buy that plate and sensor as a unit w/out the complete HFM, I think mine was only $60 or so.

I was suprised at how easy it was to remove the sensor. The stuff in between the probes was some kind of goop.
