my is $29.95 for oil change with synthetic oil, chassis lube, vaccum out front of vehicle and top off fluids. $34.95 for all of the above and inspection and wash, then $49.95 for tire rotation and 90 day roadside assistaints card. Overall pretty fair deal in my area, because I trust them much more than any jiffy lube.
not being a smartypants, but it costs me $19.52. Thats 6 quarts of MC 5w20, the FL-820S filter and a jug of windshield washer. Obviously, I change it myself...and I get free tire rotations at discount tire.

i dont know about other states, but in MA, any retailer that sells new motor oil has to by law take back old motor oil....even if you didn't buy it from them. WALMART takes it back as well.
I know around here (at least in some places) they charge you 2 bucks or something like that...whereas the city (i'm in TX) has a collection (or dump) facility were you take it.

My dealer quoted a third party 6 year, 60,000 mile "maintenance plan" at $595. This was for oil changes and tire rotations only. it also included a $250 coupon that would be good towards the purchase of your next vehicle from their dealership. Keep in mind the '08's have a 5000 mile service interval for severe, 7500 for standard driving, with 6 months as the max duration. Assuming 2 oil changes a year (following the every 6 months since my wife only drives 12k per year) that worked out to about $48.50 per oil change/tire rotation. My dealer usually has coupon prices that work out to around $30 for an oil change, so I took a pass on it. My guess is that plan has about $250 in profit built into it to cover the cost of the "next vehicle purchase"
In defense of maintenance plans, I did buy the 7/100 ESP for this truck.
