either your diesel foamed up or your tank still has 4 gallons left when the needle hits the E like most of us. either way if you wanna know for sure you gotta pump super slow to squeeze in every last drop.

kawa, we throw the politicians in the harbor. It might not make fuel any cheaper, but it would make me feel better. Maybe the sharks would eat some of them.

Truly most of the inflated prices are coming from market speculaters and day traders. These guys drive the price of oil up by speculating what the market is going to do,not really based on consumption. Our biggest problem is we (as americans) are not using our resources here because of all the "PC" idiots. Why are we allowing China to drill one of the largest oil finds in the gulf while our politicians regardless of party affilliation say NO to drilling ourselves.

If you want cheaper fuel call write e-mails to your representatives and HARASS them telling them your tired of giving other countries OUR money for fuel,And let's start using our resources here in AMERICA. And coming from a farm grown boy in central IL. who hauls fuel for a living I gaurantee we can't produce enuogh "bio" anything to keep up with the demand. My trucks stop sells 2,000000 gallons of fuel a month that's right 2million,and the company I work for sells 300 million a month nationwide.Don't get me wrong I'm not against bio but it will not solve the problem. We are just one company in truckstop retail think of about 3 more who equal our sales monthly. That does even take into consideration all the farmers in the fall using 300 gallons a day during harvest, or heating oil in the winter. We as Americans consume over 10 billion gallons of petro a year. Why are we buying from people that just want to break us as a country.
Hopfully not being a downer to all, but honestly we are allowing this to happen. If we don't get a handle on it soon our kids won't be able to afford to drive a great diesel powered truck that can move mountains, only diesel powered rabbits.

Yesterday, I payed 336 for diesel in chicago area, 356 for it in Lexington KY, and 341 in Columbus oh, and filled up again for 3.40 in Marion. This sucks. And they wonder why so many people drive off without paying. Its easy, most people want to keep their first born.
