Goin' "old school"

I am wondering what all I would encounter in doing the following to my truck.
Totally de-emissioning my truck
Going back to a carb set-up opposed to a EFI set-up
and basically making my truck have the engine of a late 60's early 70's motor.
I want the truck I have but the engine of the specified years.
Emission teting is not done where I live.

I've built a 300 to run darn good but I dont think you can beet efi. Work around the fuel injection to gain hp. I had an 82 f150 with a 5.0 mustang motor they put a carb and holley intake on it guess what. It was a pig just my thoughts.

Good Luck Andy

If you're going to modify it, I would go with a carb. No sense fighting the EFI unless you're going to swap out the system anyway.

A lot easier to work on when needed too.
