Talking diesel?????

I have been reading on here for alot longer than posting but just have to ask the almighty question. I have been reading where ford has pushed off the installation of the diesel in the f150 to 2010 but I am in the market for a new truck and I would like to stay with a f150, but waiting for the diesel. Does anyone on here know a somewhat close date that the diesel will make its way in or at least the 6.2 liter boss engine prior to 2010 I hope. Any links or information would be nice thanks for any info.

Anyone who's willing to promise you a date that either of those will be available is either lying, or getting fired by ford.....no one that can tell you knows yet...

That is what I figured but thought is worth asking. I was just looking the price difference of the f150 to the f250/f350 and it looks like I would be better off buying f250/f350

Well since it's been made public ( http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...cummins-2.html ).....
The diesel will be early 2010CY and the 6.2 will be 2010MY.

Talking

So I guess that means ford has given up on trying to be first with the diesel in the 1/2 ton trucks then. I guess we will have to settle for a 4 way tie for first. lol

I will just have to go buy a used f150 06 07 to get me buy until they come out with the diesel then. thanks for the link DD

So does this mean in 2009 as the 2009 is coming out in 2008?

I didn't see in that article anything about the 5.4 3v getting tweaked. But there is something new for it in the near future, I just don't know if I can say what it is yet.
