body mounts

Does anybody know where I can get all new body and radiator support mounting hardware for a '78 F250. I need the rubber/poly bushings as well as the two metal bolt pieces. I had to cut off all my body and radiator mounts with the blue wrench because of severe rust.
Does Bronco graveyard, BOTP or Dennis Carpenter have these?

Thanks,
Eric

Bronco Graveyard and BOTP's links are on this page...free catalogs for the asking. Also see the links for: MAR-K, Mac's, National Parts Depot and Auto-Krafters. All are FTE sponsors.

The only thing that you can't get is the upper mounting sleeve for the radiator support. Everything else you can get through those places you just mentioned. Plus National Parts Depot or Auto Krafters in addition.

These items are also availablefrom your Ford dealer. You may want to consider updating the bushings with polyurethane though.

When purchased from Ford, the sleeve came with the absorber (cushion).

D3TZ-1000396-C .. Absorber and Sleeve ~ I just typed this number into y2kfordparts online parts locator. The locator sez: No parts found = obsolete.

FTE sponsor GREEN SALES doesn't have it either.

Despite what the fellow said about, not all the parts are still available from Ford.

I bought all six pairs of mounts, not including the bushings from my Ford dealer last summer. They had to go to the old microfilm, pull the numbers, then go to the computer to cross match. The old numbers are obsolete. But I believe Ford is still using these.

Yes, it's possible the part numbers have been updated, but my old Ford microfiche slides (last issue: 10/88) don't reflect that.

I bought these slides (1973/79 Ford LIGHT Truck Parts Catalog) from Ford last year. They are the last issue, as I stated above. I also have two earlier sets of slides, from 1978 and 1980. hipoparts.com sells a scanned CD version of this parts catalog. It was scanned from the 1979 issued paper catalog.

Stay friendly with your local dealer, because most Ford Dealers today could care less about old trucks. Old to most of them is 1996 and earlier. Most of the Ford parts counterpersons are totally clueless today and can't tell a 1989 from a 1969. All you have to do is mention you have a 19__. The first thing they say, without even looking, is: "sorry, can't help you, all the parts are obsolete." The next thing they say....is goodbye.

If Ford dealers did care, I woudn't have needed to type over 9500 posts in a single year here on FTE.

Sorry, no and I checked to see if I might still have the plastic bags they came in, but I don't. A tip here, the Ford dealer I went to is a small town dealer in Brooklyn, MI (Near Michigan International Speedway). I've found that the small town dealer parts departments are much more helpful than the big guys.
