2008 Mid-atlantic Meet Carlisle All Truck Nationals - New York
The chapter leaders of the Mid-Atlantic Region have agreed to hold an FTE G-2-G at next year's All Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA The date is August 8--10, 2008.
We plan on registering as Ford Truck Enthusiasts "club" and hopefully be in the running for a club participation award.
This will involve members paying a registration fee which in turn will qualify us to have a tent and parking provided by the Carlisle show.
There are plenty of hotels and campgrounds available for overnight stays. It is possible to make it a one day trip from New York say on the Saturday of the show. If we have enough members willing to stay overnight, then I would be willing to reserve a block of rooms now to guarantee them for the event.
We need to get 25 registered members to get the free tent.
What I need from all of you now is a show of support for this meet to see how many we will have from New York to attend.
Just answer the "Poll Question" and then post if you will be needing a room. The Poll Question will end on or about January 15, 2008.

glruff, I spoke with the campgrounds today, and they confirmed that they do have 20 sites and 4 cabins still available. They said they recommend each individual call and make their reservation ASAP, they are going to try to keep us as close together as posible, but there are some factors that will play in, like Tent campers, Trailer size, if you have a tilt out, and what amenities you want (electric, water, sewage, etc.), also how quickly you make your reservations. To date there have been 2 sites reserved under the Mid-Atlantic FTE, I am one of them, and one other. Anyone wanting a cabin should make it a priority to call right away, because they only have 4, and they will fill up quickly. The Contact person at the campground is Bonnie, she will be out on Wed. and Thur. but will be back on Fri 1/11/08
So anyone that wants to camp with us, please dont drag your feet, they say the campground always is full for this weekend!!
Ps anyone who makes a reservation please post on here that you are in so we can keep a tally!
Thanks, jimmyb08SD
Thank you Jimmy for all of your hard work and effort!
