Radiator leak repair help!!!!!

I have a 1994 Ford Ranger V6 3.0 with a leaky radiator. It has a lot of miles on it and I would rather try and fix the leak instead of buying a new one. I tried the Bar (i think that is the brand) quick fix leak ender crap, and of course it didn't work. I was thinking i could maybe solder it? Does anyone have any recommendations or procedures to follow. I know how to solder, I just need some directions. Thanks in advance.

isnt that a plastic tank on there?
wheres the leak coming from?

its got alot of miles, even if its a metal tank, the rad might not be worth fixing.

put in a new one, and you wont have to worry about when it leaves u stranded somewhere.

Good questions above. I've had good luck with Barrs on a couple of old bombers, but you have to follow the directions exactly - and ideally, flush the system before use.

If the radiator is copper, all you need to do is clean the area, apply flux and solder. Be sure you have a big enough heat source (likely a propane torch) to heat the area. Your 25watt electronics soldering iron won't be up to the task. If it is aluminum, conventional solder won't work, you may be looking at some of the special aluminum welding / brazing rods.

oh i forgot to mention chemical repairs(barrs leak) should be used as an EMERGENCY repair ONLY.
they are disasterous on heater cores. if there is any kind of build up on the cores, the barrs will adhere to it and clog it.
