I bought 3 gal of the stuff about a month ago so I could see for myself if there was any observable improvements over the DK I've been using since the second tank full. I was a little disappointed in DK's scar wear test results from the study I read so I wanted to give the opti-lube a try. I know the wear benefit won't be "observable" outside of a test but I was looking to see if there was any added benefit in regards to mpg increase, power increase, or running improvement.

I continued to use what I had left of the DK so I've just recently started using it. It will be a while before I can post any opinion or results as I want to get plenty of miles under my belt driving the same routes and patterns as I normally do. I've been keeping a mileage log since the first time I filled the tank (hand calc and computed), so if there's any benefit in mpg I'll know.

One thing I do like about the Opti-Lube is its packaging. You can get it in quart size or gallon size containers. I got the gallon size containers to take advantage of the free shipping incentive as well as a slight price break for buying in bulk. The gallon containers come with a hand pump that you screw onto the jug. Makes dispensing the additive much neater and precise. It also came with a graduated container so that you can measure out the additive vice guessing. If you've seen the containers that Sta-bil fuel stabilizer comes in, this is kind of the type container that was provided. I need to snap a few photos and post to my gallery so you can see the packaging. I have to give it a thumbs up in this regard.

Like I said, it will be a while for me to post my opinions/results. By a while, I mean about 2 months as I want to have plenty of miles under my belt before I say one way or the other.
