Adding DRL to 2007 F150

Do the 2007 F150's still use the Relay & Resistor to enable Daytime Running Lights? (PN's YL1Z-13B218-AA /XL3Z-14A601-AA)
I have read a few articles indicating that these are the part numbers to use in order to activate the DRL's on 1999 & newer F150's. I just want to confirm that this is the same procedure for 2007 trucks, and that Ford hads not gone to programmable DRL - SJB (Smart Junctoin Box) on the F150.
Thanks

I don't have any info on a truck that late. Sorry. Would the dealer be any help?

I see you live in Canada, and we get this question once in awhile. I have heard they require DRL's in Canada. They make you add DRL's even though the truck originally did not have them? Is there a cut-off date of manufacture for adding DRL's or do they force you to have them on everything, even a 50's or 60's type car?

Thanks Dave. In Canada, DRL's have been mandatory sine the 1992 Model year. - Anything before that does not need to be retrofitted . There just seems to be some confusion at the dealer concerning the Ford parts required for conversiion to DRL for the 2007. I can get an aftermarket kit to use the fogs. - which I may do in the end if it proves costly to go OEM.
FYI, Here is a link to the Canadian regs regarding Daytime Running lights.

I have a link to this on my web site.

I don't know how old the page is.

Thanks for the info & the link. As you suggest, this site does not have a date, and my truck does not have the cap on the plug - suggesting that DRL installation on late model F150's is different.

I am still waiting for info from Ford

Whay kit did you use for the DRL. On the 2007 where does this mount. I have a 2008 F150 and I want to check and see if this is where mine would mount.

Tanks

I just used 2 sided stick tape and mounted the module in front of the battery. After I hooked up to the factory wires I used black wire loom like the factory to cover the wires. Everything looks stock now. Where do you live, I am in Canada and they are required. You can get the module at Canadian tire.
Cheers,
Corey

I live is Conway, Arkansas USA. I am trying to find out where this would go on the 2008. I don't even know if it has a loop back plug. Don't know where to look. Heck I cannot even find a 2008 repair monual for 2008 f150. I will see if I can find Canadian Tire.

Thanks

Ken
