Manual is only available on the 4.2L V-6 (most commonly on the reCab versions)

Hey, it seems to be a good trans, though. 1st gear is plenty low for getting a bedful of mulch moving, but still high enough to get you away from a stop before you get rear-ended. On a tight-radius on-ramp, I'll be in 3rd as I come up to the road, hitting 4th and about 70 mph as I merge. 4th gear is low enough to use at 35-40 mph but high enough to carry the truck to very illegal speeds on the highway. All in all the 5-speed manual with V6 is a nicely engineered package. You do have to let the V6 wind up since it doesn't have the torque of the V8, but it's a pretty free-revving engine for a pushrod mill. You should drive one just for grins sometime - to me it puts the 'truck' back into the equation.

I just got the 2x4 v6 5spd for a work truck . Nice for what it is.
several guys at work are going to the other brands to get manaul . One begins with D
I'll keep my 94 f150 till they
1. come back out with F150 manual in a 4x4
2. I find a SD 4x4 that gets 16 MPG in PA hills/mountains running gas
The dealer really wanted mt 94 they must have a buyer. They offered me $5200 on trade
