anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with my 4X4, 93 ranger manual hubs, push button 4X4 nothing happens, push button and no lights come on, when i take the switch out and use my test light there is power getting to the switch i have no idea. Has anyone ever had this problem or have any ideas.
you would have to figure out witch wire the switch gives power to then use a peice of wire a couple inchs long with some aligator clips on the end of something.
I just fixed my 91 Ranger transfer case with a 1 /12 work and some elbow grease and 5/16's fuel line. The link http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=123542 read the whole thing first though and it doesn't hurt to google it and read more sources.
It really does help to have it on a bench unless you have a helper or three hands IF you take apart the motor itself. The brushes for the armature really are a pain , I did mine in a lube bay and proped it on the transfercase skidplate. Took me 5 try's to get the armature in place :-)
