2009 F150 questions

I just wanted to say Hi, I'm the new guy here.

I see there are a couple people here who have some knowledge about the 09 F150.

I'm going to wait till the 09's come out because I was hoping for a 6 speed tranny.

Do you guys know if the F150 4X4 Crew Cab will have the 6.5' bed, a 6 speed tranny and the newly reworked 5.4 engine(or 5.8)? Will the MPG be upgraded with the new tranny and efficiency of the new motor?

I was just curious about the engine if it's going to be a reworked 5.4 or a newer design 5.8?

Have they corrected the issues with removing spark plugs for 09?

Thanks

They corrected the sparkplugs, they say, in 06.....it is expected (through my reading) that the truck will debut with a reworked 5.4 and 6 speed trannys for all the engines

really at this point anyone who's willing to promise you anything about the new truck on here doesn't know anything about it.....those that do know (ford employees) aren't dumb enough to tell...

Geez, we can't even get you guys to commit to when it will be at the auto show!

Just kidding guys! We really do appreciate the info you have been able to give us, however little it is. Most of us are very jealous of you as well.

I can't wait...2 more months till we see it! Then 3 more years until I can buy it.

I guess I can wait another couple months. I'm really liking the Silverado 1500 but they do not have a 6.5' bed on the CC and they are not going to offer a 6 speed tranny either.

Ford has what I want or are rumored to be coming out with it in 09. We'll have to see.

Seeing this 2009 F150 will be the ONLY reason I go to the local Philly Auto show, when it comes.

Exactly...you may be able to buy one this time next year, but I sure won't. Oh well, I'll wait till they get a year's worth of the 4.4L diesel in them to iron the kinks out.
