Cookie, I am just West of Russellville bout 8 miles, just off Hwy 64 In a small town call London. I am disable and on SSI disability. I injured my back at work about 3 years ago I can not do much but I am the best darn go-fer and hand-me, and throw in, hold-this! around.

 

Bummer...that's well over an hour from me.

Guy/Gals, I would host a chapter meeting but I am waiting to get my New motor. Money is very short for this time of the year. Being disable money is hard to come by.[ Fixed Income]. When I get my motor I will let you know if the offer still stands. you all must let me know what kind drinks that you like [ beer, soda ]!!!

 

HMMMMMM, a wrench party!!! You guys know I am up for that. I might have to host one of those soon also. I got some new body tools I have been playing with on the truck. I also have a 460 being given to me, just have to go north about 5hrs to get it. I will let everyone know when I get time to head up there and get it. I am also supposed to be getting a 79 F150 4x4 from the same guy!! Talk about hitting it right!

 

Where 5 hours? That sound like it is close to me! LOL

If its newer than the 50s.....its not that old.

 

Thanks guys! It is a 73 F-100 Explorer Package. Long wheelbase, 360-AT. Currently it is completely stock with the Bright lime (yellow) paint. This truck has sat for 15-20 years. I got it running and sounds pretty good. Trying to get the brakes, tires and some front end work done so it will be safe. I have some pictures in the gallery.

Brian I keep telling my wife and kids that being born in the 50's doesnt make me that old but they don't believe it!

 

That is not a bad looking truck for sitting that long. I was expecting it to be a lot rougher looking.

I agree with you....get it running well and get it safe to drive before worring about looks.

I am doing the same thing with my 56. One step at a time.

 

Thanks Brian. As soon as I can get it where we can go to town, I'm going to have a roll of quarters and wear out a car wash. Used to own a detail shop so will buff it out and it will look 100% better!
