What do yall know about soybean oil?

I'm looking into using soybean oil for a fuel additive for my 04 6.0L. I'm thinking of using it for viscity reasons. I'm sure I would blend it w/ DK. My reason in still using DK is for the water treament and cleaning if soybean oil turns out not to be much for cleaning.
Why soybean oil? Cause it is readly avaible to me right now and wont cost me anything. I would be adding this oil to regular #2 diesel. I have no problems using biodiesel just nobody sells it near me.

Soybean oil is one of the more common vegetable oils.
When made into BD it tends to gel a few degrees higher than canola oil and some others.

It will burn just like any other VO.

What you are proposing is blending VO and #2, that is risky at best. If you want to run VO then convert your truck. If you don't want to convert your truck then learn to make BioDiesel.

Blending can cost you an engine.
