2007 Ford F-150 question

Hello All,

I just bought 07 F-150 4.6 v8 4x4 with auto tranny and I want to know if this truck has the terrible spark plug problem found in the other v8 5.4.

Thanks.

No, the plug design is the standard plug, not the special plug used in the 3v 5.4l

Hes got it. You should not have any of the problems with plugs on the 4.6.

I thought the 2007 5.4 dont have the plug problems. I heard they changed the plugs they were using. I have heard 2 stories. 1) that the 2007 are ok because they changed the plugs they were using. 2) All 5.4 3valve engines have the plug problem. Does anybody know?

As I understand it the only plug change is to a cooler heat range don't know if it will change anything as far as getting them out supposedly will be less carbon??

Ford has been putting anti-sieze on the 06+. They've hopefully fixed the issue. It'll take a year or so before we find out if it fixed the issue.

Don't worry about your 4.6. It's aneamic, but still a great motor
