Which Tire? Toyo M/T or ProComp Xtreme A/T

That's my narrowed-down choice.
I love the aggressive looks of the Toyo M/T but I'm a 90% street-truck and have concerns. I am a little gun-shy of wetroad capabilities; will this tire do well driving on highways with standing water/ heavy rains? (Search for my thread of "I wrecked my F350, Backwards!", ahem... )
I was considering the Toyo A/T, or the Nitto A/T as I have heard good things of each. I guess I just wanted a meaner-looking tire.
So, the shop-owner doing my lift suggested ProComp. He runs the Extreme A/T's on his Ginormous F350 dually. They have the aggressive looks of a mud tire but the tread pattern of an A/T, on steroids.
He also said ProComp is having a "Buy three, get one free" sale through 10/31/07.
Shopping around, I found some places don't carry or haven't heard of ProComp. Even with the 4th tire free, they are still almost as expensive as the Toyo's.
Does anyone here run the ProComp Xtreme A/T's?
What does the hive here say?

I have been running Xtreme A/T's for almost a year now and I have no complaints and would buy them again. Performance in all weather conditions has been exceptional, including heavy rain.

Pro Comp is owned/manufactured by Cooper Tire.

Need more options on the poll. I don't like any of them.

You may want to add BFG and Nitto's to the list. I personally run the Toyo MTs and have enjoyed every 12,000 mile ride on them. Aggressive, yet quiet. They're not too bad on wet roads.

I have the extreme a/t's and love them, they handle great and are more aggressive looking than other a/t tires. Mine are the 35x13.50's load range E with 26k miles on them and they still have around 50% tread left on them.

I bought mine a year and a half ago when they were on sale "buy 3 get 1 free" also so the price was reasonable.

Out of the tires I have ran, the Toyo's AT have ran the longest on my truck. I had the chance to pick up MS for the winter this year, but still would have no problem running the Toyo's even during the winter months.

I am running the TOYO MT's, and know that that where I work (oilfield) almost all our oil rig moving pushes are running the same. I am very happy with them so far, tire wear is not bad as long as the air presure isn't too high with out a load on. I keep mine at 30psi. Most of our truck pushes are getting 50,000 plus KM's out of them and you can be sure they are not babying these tires at all. They do probably do just as much highway driving as offroad and gravel. I also was very happy with traction with these last winter in snow and ice.

I have extreem A/T's on right now.. quiet on the road.. Do decent offroad, but it's not a mud tire so my expectations of them off road isn't very high.. Not like my boggers. yummy...

Need to add 'None of the above' field. Should have added the BFG A/T & M/T.

I can't comment on the ProComp's as I've never had them but I love my Toyo's. I had the A/T's for 2 years and they did alright but seemed to track pretty bad when I hit a puddle (a la your incident). The M/T's haven't done that to me yet and we get quite a few big puddles here in Pittsburgh after a good rain. My truck stays on the road for the majority (it was great when I lived in AZ and could run the desert but it won't fit on the trails here) but the few times I get to run it off road, the tires seem to hold up pretty good.

Also, check for pricing from ntwonline . com (remove spaces). I bought my 37's from them and got pretty good pricing (I saved on shipping by driving down and picking them up myself but still fairly inexpensive).

I've had three sets of ProComps so far, 2 A/T's and my current Xtreme A/Ts. All worked fine for me. The ground in AZ is hard and the BFG A/Ts chunked really bad(heavy truck-lots of power), the Pro Comps aren't doing that. Tread life they say is 40K, I have 27k, They will make it to 40K. At buy 3 get 1 free I don't think the Toyos are less. Do the math.
