250 head

250 head
I didn't have time to grab the magazine and when I went back I couldn't find it but last friday morning I was in Frys and I was looking at a ford magazine that had an article about an aluminum head for a 250 engine. I thought these were only Australian and you had to use the entire Australian made ford 250 engine. They seemed to be talking about a head swap to the american built 250. But some woman was confused about some candy 10 for 10.00 and then confused the only clerk in the entire store at 6am and I had to bail and go on to work. I know where I might talk a guy out of an old 63 ford and this sounds intresting. Anyone hear about aluminum 250 head swaps?

The Classic Inlines SB6 Aluminum head is in production and the first batch was recently shipped to customers. There is also an new intake in prototype for this head as well. Follow the link that Johnboy427 posted and then go to the forum. The is a dedicated topic for this head.
The BB6 aluminum head is only just in prototype stage, so it should be available so time next year.
Neither is a crossflow though the SB6 head has better flow bench numbers than a Windsor GT-40 head, as cast.
