Hi All,
I just ordered an AirAid intake for my truck. It has 13000 miles on it and I was going to wait till the warranty expired but I had to get some shocks SOOOO since Summit did the shocks on warranty i spent the money on the intake. I had a K&N in my old 98 4.6 and was very happy with it but I decided to go with AirAid this time. Volant was another option. What does anyone think about the Airaid systems ?

 

i have airaid also,i had k/n at first but it pinged in perforamce mode,because it was leaning the motor out,as recommened i switch to airaid & no pinging. 06 f150 5.4 superchip,magnaflo sido,

 

I had an Airaid on my 04 and I loved it. Along with a Borla exhaust and a superchips tuner it was a great combination. After installing all those I went from mid 12's to mid 14's on mpg's.

 

I love the Airaid. It is awesome. With that and my exhaust setup, it is a great combo. With the V6 you will take all that you can get. In the end...great system.

 

I have had the Airrade on my truck for over 2 years now and I really like the system.

It's a quality piece and well worth the extra $$ over the K&N. The K&N I got whistled like crazy so I took it back after only having it on the truck for a single day.

I have an 04 scab fx4 with an airaid system. It is great, lots of power. Also put on the airaid throttle body spacer. I really like it.

 

Did the TB spacer do much for you? I can get a used one for cheap, but from what i heard it's just a waste of time and money

 

I noticed a little bit of a difference, The only draw back is a little bit of noise when the air is being sucked in. definately hear it working.
