Spare Tire Carrier ...Anyone have one?

I saw this spare tire carrier on the web and was wondering if anyone has one or seen one in use?

Maybe when they put the price in on the website they meant to hit the 3 instead of the 6? Seeing as the 6 is right next to the 3 and that price would make much more sense? lol

Why would you want one? There is a crap load of space inside already. I don't even realize it's there.

That is an obsurd amount of money!! I have seen similar universal hitch mount spare carriers that fold out sideways (so you don't have to lift the weight of the tire/wheel when you put it back up) that make much more sense to me. I couldn't imagine getting into the back of the truck past that spare everytime I needed something out of there. Would be usefull for some long trips though?

$700 that is very expensive. Have someone build one for your truck. I am sure it will be way cheaper than that.

I know that my rig is a little taller than most of yours and the tire/wheel combo is significantly more weight. But I just pulled the spare tire off of our aftermarket roof rack. There is NO way I would of done that without useing a fork lift, hoist, or other machinery. I would be shocked if many people could get a stock spare up on the roof or off of the roof without the help of several other people (assuming they cared about the body/paint on the truck).

In my opinion, if the spare fits in the stock location, leave it there. If not, carry fix a flat, plugs and tools to plug, a compressor, and a AAA card

just my .02
