alexgalindo1856 is starting off with a positive reputation.
my dad drove an 82 f250, 4x4, 300 2bbl in mexico. he had the bed full of cattle and he had to go up a hill with a step near the top. he got close to the step then when he felt the front tire hit the bottom of the step he put the pedal to the metal. he dumped the clutch and the truck jumped forward. as the truck jumped forward all the cattle slipped to the back of the truck bed, putting all the weight on the back axle. the master leaf springs broke and all the other leafs broke. he and a friend had to lift the truck wiht all the cows on the bed with a high lift jack. they took a trunk of cedar and tied it to the chassis with a piece of tow rope, putting the axle on the underside of the trunk. he drove 20 miles like that through the mexican sierra.
p.s. that truck had 8 cows on the back, it was going against an f250 with a 351 and a newer flatbed dodge. those other trucks had only 7 cows on the back.

Yeah, but only if they're dead. Two cows standing up and moving around in a regula eight foot pickup truck bed?

Ha ha. Yeah, I'll believe that the day I can fit back into 34's.

Maybe he forgot to mention it was a stake truck ? I do know in Mexico they overload and stack trucks to death, but even then no more then 2 cows could fit in a 8 foot standard bed.

bought my 89 f250 4x4 I6 new in 88. first part of it's life, was used as a service van, with a cap on, and bookoo tools inside. made the trip from balto to va every day. when I left that job, I took off the cap. and put on tool boxes, and a ladder rack. used the truck like that for a few years loaded with tools, ladders etc. this was also the truck we used to haul materials on . when I stopped doing that, I removed the boxes and ladder rack, and put a tow truck rig on it. I would tow anything that the wench would pick up. truck really grunted sometimes. I even used it like that for off road recovery.eventually, the ladder rack and tool boxes went back on. I thought nothing of putting 2 ton of sand, bark mulch, stone on, with the tools on it. as time progressed, I replaced it with a 2003 f350 4x4,and parked it in the back field. still ran good, but I wanted a new truck. the new truck I owned for 1 1/2 year. went back to the dealership 17 times for a total of 101 days. biggest pos I ever owned. made ford buy it back. what a piece of crap. I went out back, and fired up the 89, and drove it for 3 more years, and a valve spring let loose, causeing it to miss really bad, so I turned around, to take it home, and this is 6cylbill's favorite part, as I turned the corner, a rock came through the floor, and busted out theback window. I took the truck off the road, pending future restoration. have most of the welding done, still have to do the motor. this truck has 480,000 miles on it, and other than a water pump, and new fuel injectors, the motor has never been opened, and does not leak, or burn oil. best part, no matter the weather, truck will always start, even broken and not used.

How much is that in cattle, exactly?

I just looked at the specification plate on my truck. Says no more than 3 cows per axle

I even told my mom about this one. She didn't appreciate it like I did.

Good Ford's don't break down. They wear out, work to death, rust to nothing, and get nothing but a oil change in return.

It took a rock to come through your non exsistant floor board and knock out your back window to park your truck.

yeah, but that's only temporary, I just love the old girl, and mis it. soon as the body is done, I'll jump into the motor, then put some paint on it. guess it won't have a hard life after that, I plan to keep the old beater running enough to have something to abuse

8 calves in a 8 ft stakebed is possible. Tight but possible. 3 cows is barely possible in a 8ft stake. But yes its possible.

We had a guy north of here that hauled 20-30 bushel of grain depending on the moisture in the bed of a flareside 51 F350. He hauled his grain that way till 1996. oh yeah it wasent a dulie?

I have thrown 3000 in the bed of my 85 F150, putsed across town in 4th with a 3.55 in the tail.
A truck can work hard if you aint an idiot. I find that "alexes" story amusing. Come up here to ND. I will show you some tough rattle traps that will shake down the pretty pickups.
