around 2k then? for those kind of numbers ? first bake the engine/bore is , pistons 500bucks 180bake/bore 150/500bucks for the pistons 830? clean the heads and then a new intake manifold? and maybe a new carburator after a while. but one question since the owner before me welded mounts to the body the 460 engine wont bolt in its 3/4inches away from bolting in? anyway for help?

the oil pan its to big and wont fit in ya i know im from the dark side, not my fault the guy put a gm/nova front base and rear end- hence the reason i need a mustang rear end- something more capable of not shattering =] but i dont want to spend like 290 for a low profile oil pan when i can just take out the motor mounts and weld new ones in? is their a thing i can buy that has taller mounts?

Might want to look at different oil pans. If you just raise the motor so that it doesn't rest on the cross member it might have your motor running uphill or high in the front. This might not be the case as I am not familiar with the subframe you are running, it could be that you just need to raise the motor mounts to get it to sit in there level and it won't be resting on the oil pan. If you could show pics as you go I for one would really like to see and would appreciate it. I think this is why alot of guys run SBCs when they use a chevy subframe, its just easier.

imlowr2 is dead on with advice.

If you aren't a seasoned motorhead, I suggest an Edlebrock Cam/Heads/Intake package with rollers, MSD and 780ish Carb. I would NOT go lower than 3:50 on the Rear End for street driving unless you have overdrive. 460s are happy at mid-rpm.

I need the second front crossmember that holds the front engine mount for a 292V8,if yours was a v8 and you are not using the crossmember on the new engine, and want to part with it I am interested. F250 RED
