Old news. Why don't you go over to Dodge's site and check it out or read the umpteen threads here.

The new lifetime warranty has no deductible ... I just want to see if it includes such things as sensors, fuel pumps, etc.

Lifetime on the Didge transmission ... that might be interesting.

Keep in mind its non-transferable and it only covers the powertrain. Most likely it doesnt cover sensors or fuel pumps, only the mechanical parts of the engine and tranny.

It about time someone stepped up. Honestly if you can't offer at least a 100K mile powertrain warranty, then you're basicly saying that you don't think your product will last 100K miles.

It's not like vehicles, especially trucks, are cheap these days.

You don't have to be a "member" to go to www.dodge.com.

Big gimmick...good publicity, however. Kind of like the old Rusty Jones warranty...if you don't bring it in during their limited window for an inspection...you void the warranty!!!

The trucks with the V6/Hemi have it, if you have the diesel it doesn't. I think its because Cummins has a different warrenty on the engine then dodge

You have it backwards. The manufacturers offer a long warranty to sell their vehicles because people think they will need the warranty. Honda and Toyota don't have a long warranty and they have no problem selling their produce because people feel they don't need a long warranty.

You also have to remember that they're playing the odds as well. Most people only keep a car for a couple three years anymore and it sounds good to people that they can have that offer. Look at Mitsubushi and Hyundai, they offer a 100,000 mile with 5/50 bumper to bumper, now that's a warranty worth having.

I can't swear to it but I thought I read that with either the Kia or Hyundai you had to have the maint work done at the dealer to keep the warranty. By the time they added up everything that was required the warranty didn't look near as good.

Kia is that way... my boss bought a few of these cars, after 20,000 miles or so and the radiators started popping, then idiot co-workers wouldn't check the coolant (run one of those cars hot and its a goner) and pretty soon the dealer hands you a bill for negligent damage, happy to cover the radiator, but $4000 to install an engine.
