Lincoln MKX

Lincoln MKX
My wife has decided she would like to have AWD for the winters around here. She would like to trade in the 2003 Crown Victoria for a Lincoln MKX. We've looked at one but haven't done a test drive yet.
I've done a bit of research on the internet. I don't find any overt negative comments about the SUV or the powertrain. Does anyone on the forum have any comments good or bad on this car?

The comparison tests I've read have it very overweight with sloppy handling.
I just purchased (today in fact) the Lincoln MKZ.....HID lights, THX/NAV, heated/cooled seats.
I did not get the AWD but I have read the #'s and the car is very respectable.
Got a smoking deal on a Ford Lease for 39 months.
It's the same platform as the MKX but with a lot less mass to carry around.
IMHO, (realizing opinions are like .........) I think the Pacer looking SUV is quite....err....ummm....un-attractive; and that dash came straight from a 1980 T-bird.

I personally think the Lincoln MKX is a fine vehicle. Granted I have never seen one in person, but judging from the info given at www.Lincoln.com I would say it a fine car. But test drive and if you both like buy it. Life is too short to not buy what you want. Regardless of what some comparison test says make sure you keep us updated though

Thanks for the opinions.
We'll probably end up getting her one. She loves the grill on it, it reminds her of the original Lincoln Continental.
As for the Edge, I know it's the same vehicle. The MKX is optioned and appointed a little better and comes with a better warranty. I showed her the edge, thought maybe we could save few bucks, but the wasn't an option.
