Trim Question

I've started the restoration process on my 78 Ranger, starting with the bed. I've removed the tailgate trim and the lights. How do you get the trim off of the bed side?

There should be a nut at the end of each pieces. Normally this is between the inner finder wall. Once the ends are loose the use of a plastic putty knife to unsnap the trim. The retainers are normally pop rivited in place. Look at some of the part supplier catalogs. Most show a blow up of the trim and retainers.

For paint to be done right, all trim and moldings must be removed. Some of the plastic trim is just stuck on with 2 sided tape.

I got the trim off without damage... My next problem is the marker lights. I'm trying to remove the electrical wires so i can pull the bed. The marker light wires run from the back through a wall with this little rubber grommet. Does anyone know how to remove this without cutting?

There should be a connector near by that you can unplug.
