i have a good idea of what me and my little brothers summer project is gonna be. we are going to take a four door 7.3 power stroke short bed 4x4 and find a totalded bronco and make a 4 door bronco. it will be modeled after a 3rd gen bronco

Thinking the Government stimulus plan is working is like thinking that taking water form the deep end of a pool and dumping it in the shallow end will raise the water level of the pool.

yea i know i researched into them thats what gave me the idea. the only difference between mine and theres beside the brand will be that they wouldnt put a manual in one and im gonna put in a 5 speed
Nope... ran into a little problem with the trans and had to pull it back out. When I pulled the trans apart... I reassembled the same, what I didn't realize (wasn't using the manual) was that the previous owner assembled the trans without the thrust bearing behind the input shaft! So I didn't catch that when I assembled the trans. That's what I get for not following the manual! Anyway, it's corrected now and back in the truck.
So now it's back to the clutch peddle assembly....
cool deal. You're closer than I am - so don't feel bad
Take a look at my thread - I answered your question on pedals with a couple pics!

Hey I have been checking out your thread for quite some time now and can really appreciate all the work your puttin into your crewcab, I to am biulding a 1972 f250 4x crewcab w/ a diesel conversion. I am trying to figure out how to shrink all the pictures down so I can post them on this forum, I just joined today so I could share my project with someone who is workin on the same thing....There aren't to many people biulding these trucks at least the crew cabs!
there are more of us out there than you think building these things...
for photos - the best way is to get a photobucket account. Go to www.photobucket.com - it's easy and free.
Start a thread on your build - I know there's people around here that would like to see it!

I started a photo album under my profile if you want to see some pictures of my project, I did the photobucket account to reduce the size.... but still having problems posting them to a thread... So check them out and let me know what you think.

Well I've been busy with the project... just been laggin on updates!
Lookin for any input on porting this head.... this will be my first multi-cylinder port job and as such I'm keeping it pretty basic! I'm thinking that I might not take the gasket match all the way to the line.... maybe a 32nd short? Just to compensate for any error on my alignment and/or any gasket expansion?
I go all the way on the downstream side, and a little under on the upstream side.
On a injected turbo'd motor Polish / Smooth flow is more effective then volume.
When I assemble, I set the gaskets on the downstream side in a tiny dab of adhesive (not silicone) on the outside of the bolt flanges and let it dry to hold the gasket right where I want it until it's bolted up.
