Dang, that's lookin' good! I really need to come down there and check out that beast in person, you're only a little over two hours away from me. One thing I didn't see addressed; did you have to cut into and box the firewall to fit the Cummins? I couldn't really tell from the pics.

Too bad I haven't been keeping up on this thread, my new boss has a good 6BT head just sitting out in the shed.

BTW, you wouldn't by any chance have any spare flywheel bolts, would you? Mine are for the A/T flexplate and are too short for the M/T flywheel. I think it's just about the last thing I need before I start my Cummins swap. (Of course, as I get into it I'll find a bunch of things I didn't think about beforehand!)

I had to break down and get mine from the dealer at about $70 or $80 for the set! OUCH!

Welcome to come on up anytime!

So you can see why I asked...

Thanks, I'll let you know the next time I'm down that way. Our chapter leader lives in Vallejo and I'm at his house from time to time, in fact I was there two weekends ago helping him work on his highboy.

I ordered up a set of FOA's 16" 2.5 reservoir coilovers in med/firm compression and light/med rebound... I'll have to hold off on the springs till I get my corners weighed. Or could go with what King recommended which was a 500 over 600 stack.....

Thinking that for the street I'll just use poly bushings on one end of the links and maybe some 1"-14 threaded Ballistic Joints on the other...

No, it's all stock. He just got it back from the paint shop, it's been in the family since new and he's been restoring it.

Damn you acted fast. I was just going to tell you I can get you 16" stroke Fox coilovers with a 700/800 coil (came off a 4 linked duramax).

I guess I'll pass them on to another buddy

WOW... A 700/800 coil? That's quite a bit more than a 500/600! This is going to suck, to have to wait till I can get this thing weighed!

Thanks for lookin out!

Yeah - I came across this set the day after I picked up that other set (with 450/500 coils) for $700.

I called on the 700/800 ones and the guy said they came of a duramax with like a 30" lift or something stupid. The spring rates seemed high but 500/600 seems low.

Let me know what you figure when you do yours as it could save me some effort

Hey Guys,

Well I'm back at it in limited duty, but the hand seems to be healing OK.

Got some more new parts though....
